Do AI auto-apply tools actually get you interviews?
Sometimes, for high-volume entry-level roles, but generic applications at volume often get few replies. The stronger evidence favours fewer, tailored applications: in Huntr's Q2 2026 data, tailored resumes had nearly double the interview rate of untailored ones (5.71% against 3.09%).
A better use of the same time
- Apply to roles you fit: check fit first and skip weak matches.
- Send a resume written for each role, from true facts.
- Ask someone inside for a referral where you can.
- Track every application and follow up.
If you do use auto-apply
- Pick a tool with a review step and use it for the first batches.
- Watch for scam postings asking for personal data.
- Check which job boards limit automated applying.
