About the Job *Open to experienced RNs with 2+ years of PACU RN experience MedStar Health Nursing Benefits • Nationally recognized nurse wellbeing resources • Systemwide referral bonus program—up to $6,000 for each RN and up to $4,000 for each LPN that joins MedStar Health • Relocation assistance up to $5,000 • Free parking for associates Post Operative Care Unit (PACU) Summary • Phase I PACU on 1 st floor • Variety of Post-Op patients (Ortho & neuro surgery, OB/GYN, Plastics, Gender Affirmation, Robotics, everything except open heart and transplant cases) • Excellent teamwork and fun environment • Lower turnover • Part of our state-of-the-art surgical pavilion, which opened in 8/2020 • Lower call frequency • Ability to be cross-trained to PreOp Available Roles • Unit based PRN Requirements • 4 shifts in 6 weeks, two weekend or nights shifts in 6 weeks, 1 holiday or hard-to-fill shift annually Qualifications • ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required. • 1 year of RN experience required. For the full-time role, 2+ years of PACU RN experience strongly preferred. Experience with vents a plus. • Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required (AHA or American Red Cross). ACLS, PALS preferred or PALS within 6 months after hire.
