Overview Department: Gadsden Physician Management Surgical Associates Shift’s Available:   Days Employment Type: Full Time Hours: 8-hour Location: GPM Riverview Surgical Associates, Gadsden, AL The Nurse Practitioner focuses on providing general care to patients of all ages, with utmost patience, care, compassion and understanding. Perform tasks within their scope of practice which may include conducting tests, recording medical histories, providing treatments, assisting physicians and enhancing public awareness on the importance of health, and prescribing medications. Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): • The Nurse Practitioner focuses on providing general care to patients of all ages, with utmost patience, care, compassion and understanding. • Perform tasks within their scope of practice which may include conducting tests, recording medical histories, providing treatments, assisting physicians and enhancing public awareness on the importance of health, and prescribing medications. You must have: • MSN with specialization as an ARNP • Current state license as an Advanced Practice Nurse • BLS upon hire and maintain current • Previous experience with electronic health record • One to two years of experience as a nurse practitioner preferred.
