Endoscopy Technician

What We Offer Location: Wilmington Endoscopy Center - 1520 Physicians Drive Wilmington, North Carolina 28401 Schedule: Monday-Friday - 8 HR Flex-schedule bn the hours of 6:30am-5pm Full-time An Endoscopy Technician, under the direction of Physicians and Registered Nurses, assists with patient care and related services. The technician must have the ability to assist with care of the adult and pediatric population. What You'll Do • Preparing and sterilizing endoscopic equipment and surgical suites before procedures. • Assisting physicians during exams by passing instruments and handling specimens. • Cleaning and maintaining delicate scopes according to strict infection control protocols. What We're Looking For • Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. • Experience: Two years endoscopy experience, preferred. • Licensure/Certification: • Endoscopy Technician Certification, preferred. • Endoscopy Technician Certification within one year of hire, preferred. • Additional Skills required: Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient (s) age. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient's requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. • Additional Skills preferred: Knowledge of medical terminology.
