Will AI make up experience on my resume?

Will AI make up experience on my resume?
It can. General AI writers fill gaps with plausible but untrue details, and reviewers report invented content from some job tools. To avoid it, use a tool that writes only from facts you've confirmed and can't change titles, employers or dates. Every line on a tailored resume has to trace back to a fact you confirmed. Job titles, employers and dates are never changed, and lines that can't be traced are dropped.
How to check any AI resume
- Compare every title, employer and date with your original. They should be identical.
- Look for skills, tools or certifications you don't have.
- Check numbers: any figure should be one you gave.
- Read it out loud: if you couldn't explain a line in an interview, remove it.
How Your Apply Desk prevents it
- First, you confirm the facts from your resume (achievements, skills, numbers).
- Each tailored line must trace back to one of those facts; lines that can't are dropped and counted.
- Titles, employers and dates are copied, never rewritten.
- Your own instructions (what to stress, what to leave out) are followed, but can't add facts.

- Is it a problem if AI adds a skill I almost have?
- Yes. Recruiters and interviewers check. Add it as a fact only if you can show it; otherwise mention it in a cover letter as something you're learning.
