Alternatives
A Teal alternative that finds roles on employers' own sites
Checked October 19, 2026 · by Your Apply Desk. We make one of the tools on this page; we say when another fits you better.
What's a free alternative to Teal+?
Teal's free plan is a strong job tracker; per-job AI tailoring needs Teal+. If you want job-specific tailoring free to start, Your Apply Desk gives 15 free tailoring credits to start and 5 a month after that, plus free roles from employers' own careers sites and a fit score for each. Every line on a tailored resume has to trace back to a fact you confirmed. Job titles, employers and dates are never changed, and lines that can't be traced are dropped.

What each tool is built for
Teal is an organiser: save jobs from anywhere, track them on a board, and keep several resume versions. Job-specific AI writing is on its paid plan.
Your Apply Desk finds open roles on employers' own careers sites, scores your fit for each one, and writes a resume and cover letter for the role using only facts you have confirmed. Its Chrome extension, Penny, fills in the application form; you check it and press Submit.
